DUBAI – Art lovers from around the world converged upon Dubai for its art fair earlier in the year. This year Sotheby’s partnered with its franchise, Sotheby’s International Realty, to host arguably one of the Fair’s largest events.

The capacious space at the DIFC Atrium was filled with an enthusiastic audience who came to view a travelling exhibition of highlights from our October sale in Doha. From a breathtaking Hirst to a stunning Banisadr, the selection brought the wow factor to Galleries Night at the DIFC. Our generous sponsors, Sothebys International Realty and Rolls Royce, made possible a glamorous evening that catered to an unbelievable attendance of almost 700 people over the three-hour cocktail reception. But most importantly, we were honoured by the patronage and presence of His Excellency Sheikh Nahayan bin Mabarak Al Nahyan, the Culture Minister of the UAE and one of the region’s most prominent art patrons and cultural figures.
